An important part of any convention experience is the venue, and ours is certainly no exception. After months of conversation with many of you, and amongst the committee itself, we’ve decided to return to Rochester. Our old hotel has been renamed the Brentwood Courtyard Suites. New management has given the old hotel an extremely thorough cleaning, repainting, and remodeling. Their focus has visibly moved away from hospital clientele, and they clearly look like they intend to stick around a while. We’ve discussed our needs with management, and they’re eager to have us back. The front desk staff speaks of us fondly, and has inquired not only as to why we left, but when we expect to come back. So we will go back. SuperCon will be held at: Brentwood Courtyard Suites 20 Northwest Fifth Avenue Rochester MN 55901 507/289-3987, 877/678-4837 Rooms are only $74.50 per night! Most rooms have two queen beds. However, some have two doubles or single king beds, so please be sure to specify the type of room if you care what you get. The hotel is completely non-smoking. None of the rooms are smoking rooms any longer. Yes, there are still refrigerators and microwaves (as of this writing) . And yes, there’s still that passingly good strip mall less than a mile away, and that other great mall with the fantastic book store.
